Cleary Lake Campground (Prior Lake)

Cleary Lake Regional Park hosts two small campgrounds for a total of 20 primitive tent sites and two RV sites with full hook-ups. The tent sites all involve a short hike from the parking area. The campsites are open from late April through late October each year. Other activities in the park include hiking, biking, an off-leash dog area, swimming and paddling.

Fish Lake Acres Campground (Prior Lake)

On the shores of Fish Lake, Fish Lake Acres Campground is large, with 140 sites ranging from primitive to full hookups. Activities include swimming, boating and fishing. Boat rental is available at the campground, too, although it looks like fishing boats, not canoes or kayaks.

Fish Lake Acres offers weekly, monthly and seasonal sites if you’re an RVer or just want extended time away from home next to a lake.

Minneapolis Southwest KOA (Jordan)

Minneapolis Southwest KOA offers 114 tent and RV sites plus six Kamper Kabins. They have an indoor swimming pool, mini-golf, bike rentals, wi-fi and free Saturday night hayrides. Their season is from late April through early October.

Town & Country RV Park and Campground (Savage)

Town & Country Campground offers 80+ tent and RV campsites by the night, the weekend, the week or the month. There’s a swimming pool, game room, showers and laundry facilities on-site.

Town & Country is very family-oriented with kids’ crafts, family activities and community bonfires scheduled throughout the summer months. There’s a short nature walk along Eagle Creek, too.

This is one of the few local campgrounds that offers winter camping, too!
